Chickens by the Back Door

A good friend of mine lives only 2 minutes away.

But going to her house is like going to a retreat.

She is raising chickens....and happily shares some eggs with us.

And she grows many vegetables so her family can eat fresh organic food at any time.

And yes, she happily shares some with us.

I am quite lucky.

I find her home very inspirational. Here are just a few from a recent visit.

The chickens live quite happily in the coop in her garden.

 

I've lost count how many she has....we watched several grow from baby chicks this spring.

 

But they prefer to roam free....which they sometimes do...

 

Her beautiful country kitchen.

 

Where meals always taste incredible.

 

Even pots and pans can look like art.....

 

And the sink filled with pots and pans as well.
