Working Photos into Abstracts

I've been experimenting with turning my landscape photographs into abstract works of art. It is still a work in progress but I am enjoying the process and liking the direction they are going in. I have no preconceived idea at first of what I want a photograph to look like. And it takes many many steps to get a piece to a place that works for me. I only know that when it is going in the right direction, I can just feel it in my soul. Often it is the color that determines when the photograph is done. One thing though that is a must. Each piece must start out with a great photograph. Hope you like these as much as I do.

Will Winter ever end?

Temperatures hit the low 50's today...almost felt like Spring. Could not resist a walk on the beach. Still some snowy spots, but it felt so good to feel the breeze on my face, watch the waves wash against the shore, and hear the seagulls call. Unfortunately this small break from winter will be short-lived as snow is in the forecast once again. Have to enjoy what little bit of warm-ish sunshine we can get.

Looking For Spring

Winter just doesn't want to let go of it's grip on us. It just keeps snowing and snowing. Thought a small bouquet of pretty pink tulips would help remind me that Spring will indeed eventually come ...at least I hope so.

Snowy Tree Obsession

Lately I have been completely obsessed with the Linden Trees on my street. They look particularly magnificent covered in snow. Don't you agree?

Snowy Day

Another Day....another Winter Storm. So pretty as the snow is falling.
